News24xx.com -  A tragic story of Syrians continues to be the world's attention. Because many victims of the war are children.

Like the story of this Syrian baby.

Karim is only 2 months old, but throughout his years he has gone many painful incidents due to the ongoing war in his homeland in East Ghouta, Damascus, Syria.

Karim does not know what is going on, but he must suffer at his very small age. He never felt the beauty of a baby's life.

When he was born, Karim was greeted with gunshots and the sound of bombs that caused by fighting between Syrian government forces against rebels.

And one attack in one market changed his life. The attack occurred when Karim only one month old.

Suddenly, the attack was slid and destroyed his house. His mother died in an attack on the market in November 2017. And Karim must pass his life without the mother who gave birth him. His mother's arms saved his life. However, the baby suffered severe injuries to his left head. After the death of his mother, Kerim was treated by his four brothers and sisters.

Now the wound on his head began to dry and left a trail of war cruelty. The pain of Kerim and his family is spread through a video that uploaded to the Twitter page.

The father, Abu Muhammad is jobless, so it's very difficult for him to fulfilling living for his children. Karim and his brothers have been holding hunger for 24 hours. They only eat the crusty bread to survive.

Karim's miserable photos are widely circulated and received attention from the world.

Karim became a symbol of resistance to the blockade launched by the Syrian government in the region.

According to the Anadolu page, members of White Helmets and a number of activists close their left eye as a solidarity action for Kerim. Thousands people showed support for Karim after several members of Syrian White Helmets and children that living in war-torn settlements uploaded Karim's photographs.

East Ghouta is the base of the remaining rebel forces in Syria. Russian and Syrian fighter aircraft for months bombarded East Ghouta.

Since being besieged in 2013, the region is in a bad situation with a shortage of food, fuel, and medical supplies.

The International Red Cross said the situation in East Ghouta has reached a tipping point while humanitarian aid can not continue due to various restrictions.

"People are caught in a situation where life is impossible," said Red Cross Middle East Director Robert Mandini.

UNICEF through its survey last November mentions that 12 percent of children under five living in East Ghouta, Syria are suffering from severe malnutrition.

And the number is the highest record in the country since the war began six years ago, UNICEF said in a statement.
