News24xx.com -  Chinese authorities are intensifying eradication of the phenomenon of strippers at funerals. This kind of practice is still prevalent in the periphery of China.

The Telegraph reported on Wednesday, February 21 2018 that since last month they targeted strippers and 'obscene, pornographic and vulgar appearances at the cemetery.

Similar acts at weddings and traditional gatherings within the framework of the Chinese New Year are also the targets of operations.

For Chinese authorities, the war against the strippers in the cemetery has been going on for a long time. Local authorities began taking action to prevent pervert at funerals in 2006 and launch a second operation in 2015.

The Chinese Ministry of Culture on its website says the latest operation is focused on four provinces - Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Hebei.

A number of community communities in rural and rural areas of China believe that the presence of more people in funerals will help honor the dead and bring good luck.

But experts say erotic shows pay homage to fertility.

"According to the interpretation of cultural anthropology, the festive celebration comes from reproductive worship, so the erotic appearance in the cemetery is only a form of cultural atavism," said media professor Kuang Haiyan. Atavism is a term for ancient customs that are hereditary.

The report said that the latest operation involved people who were offered financial rewards to contact a special 'hotline' to report 'misguided practices in the cemetery'.
