Police Burned One Dump Machine at the Illegal Gold Mine in Kuansing

News24XX.com -Police from Land Logas Squares (LTD) Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) District, Riau Province, burned one unit of illegal gold mining dump machine during raid.

Police found a unit of a dump raft used by illegal gold miners (PETI) in Jake River, Desa Mulya, Logas Tanah Darat. But the engine is no longer operating. The owner was also not found during the raid.

"During the raid we found a unit of dump raft in Jake River flow, which is no longer operating, we will do PETI controlling continuously," said Kapolres Kuansing, AKBP Fibri Karpiananto, SH. S.IK through Kuansing Police Public Relations Head, AKP Lumban G. Toruan told reporters, on Friday (23/2/2018).

He said the illegal operation of PETI operations, led by Kanit Reskrim Polsek LTD Aiptu Masfauzi, SH and 6 personnel on Wednesday (21/2/2018) night.

After finding one unit of the raft, the action taken by officers is to destroy and burn the unit so it can no longer be used by illegal gold miners.

He hopes that in the future there will no longer operate PETI either along the stream of Batang Kuantan River or other tributaries in Kuansing.

"We will continue the raid, because this illegal mine has damaged the environment and the river water is not clear anymore," said Lumban Toruan. ***
