Regional Water Company (PDAM) of Bengkalis Regency get fund injection until IDR 35 M to add the water debit

News24xx.com -  Regional Water Company (PDAM) of Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province in 2019 will increase the raw water supply.

It's do as the way to normalize the reservoir that located in Wonosari Timur village, District Bengkalis. The normalization is done using budget from the state budget (APBN).

According to PDAM Director of Bengkalis Jufrizal, the idea for the normalization budget has been submitted in last year.

"In 2017, we have proposed to increase the raw water supply. Alhamdulillah, it has been budgeted in 2019 and the amount of budget will be send from the central government through the state budget is about IDR 35 billion," said Jufrizal on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

He explained, the normalization will be done with the reservoir of raw water sources in Wonosari Village.

With the estimated of the reservoir, it will increase the width of about 7 hectares.

Jufrizal acknowledged that the normalization plan had been long. But it is always delayed due to various obstacles and only re-filed last year to the central government through the state budget.

"And the Detail Engineering Design (DED) that we used is accordance with existing that we made in 2012. But it had been made adjustments to the current conditions," he explained.

The goal of normalization is to maintain raw water sources in meeting the needs of community and customers in Bengkalis to clean water. Especially, in the dry season usually had occured the shrinking raw water that quite severe.

After the normalization later, it is expected that the availability of raw water can be maintained well. So that people Bengkalis no longer lack of clean water.
