Due to lack of nutrition, seven residents of Kuantan Singingi experiencing of paralysis

News24xx.com -  Due to malnutrition, seven residents from Jake village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Riau Province became paralyzed and unable to walk.

From the seven men were mostly minors. But there is also a 35-year-old. Fortunately now they have started to getting medical treatment from the Social Department of Kuansing District.

"Their condition are very pathetic, we feel sorry for them. But now they are getting medically by related parties," said Kuantan Tengah sub-district head HM Refendi Zukman, AP, MSi on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Refendi said based on the data, the seven residents of Jake village are named Maryatul Kaptiah, 11, children of Markimin and Suhai couples, a resident that moved from Kelayang village, Indragiri Hulu district, Riau.
Before suffering from paralysis, in his medical history, it's mentioned that the child immunization process is not complete.

Winda Febrian, 15, son of Darlius and Warni. He had a febrile seizure when he was 2 years old.

Candra, 35, the son of Asitin and Kasian. Before paralysis, he had a febrile seizure when the age of 13 years, and also unconscious for 44 days.

The other residents are Ralpan, 10, the son of Dodi and Sikar couples. When born, he must go through a vacuum process. But the effort did not succress, and must done by Caesarean section.

Another boy who suffered a similar fate is Ulfa Suryani (5), the son of Artika and Iyem. Before paralysis, Ulfa had entered the incubator at birth and had experienced seizures.

Alfito ,7, son of the Nurhayati family. When he was only three days old, he had surgery of tumor at the foot and after surgery he experienced seizures.

And Desi, 23, son of Mufri and Herlina who have birth defects.

It is said Refendi, the seven residents were being treated at Kuantan Medika Clinic in Teluk Kuantan.


"According to doctors who give the treatment, the seven residents have malnutrition from they was born," he explained.


"We are very sorry to see their suffering. At their young age, they must disabled and paralyzed, while their peers are at school and working," Refendi said.


And Social Service, Community and Village Empowerment (DSPMD) Kuantan Singingi District will make a review and help their families.


"They need medical care and treatment," Refendi said.
