The former of AC Milan and Roma defender along with his squad is preparing for a game against Udinese when he is found dead in his room.

Finally, the match Fiorentina vs Udinese were postponed when the club confirmed the news of the captain's death.

The statement from the club: "Fiorentina are very shaken and forced to announce that their team captain has passed away. For this dire and complicated situation, and especially in honor of his family, we expect the sensitivity from the media crew."
