Miley Cyrus was accused of plagiarizing of the Jamaican song

News24xx.com -  Miley Cyrus was accused of plagiarizing the works of other people songs and sued up to IDR 4.1 trillion.


As quoted from Variety, Michael May filed lawsuit to Cyrus. May is a Jamaican songwriter that very famous among reggae music lovers.

 

Michael May, who works under the stage name Flourgon, filed Tuesday, March 13 2018 in district court in New York an indictment in which he Miley formally accused of plagiarism.


Flourgoun claimed that the song of Cyrus with title 'We Can Not Stop' which was released in 2013 is similar to his song, 'We Run Things' that created in 1988. And he accused that half of song Cyrus is same with his song.


And the allegations also posted to the RCA Record, the recording company which also part of Sony Music. Now, the lawsuit has entered the United States District Court in Manhattan.


Flourgon did not specify how much disadvantage that he suffered on the plagiarism allegations by Cyrus. His lawyer said they has sued of Miley Cyrus with USD 300 million or IDR 4.1 trillion.


Unfortunately, until now, both Miley and her record company, who is also indicted, wanted, according to The Wrap Tuesday did not respond to the allegations.
