Seven candidates that will competing against Putin in election

News24xx.com -  On February 18, the Central Election Commission in Russia announced the final list of approved candidates in the March 18 presidential election.

In addition to President Vladimir Putin, seven other candidates were allowed to participate in the race. Two of them - Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Grigory Yavlinsky - collided with Putin in the past.

Opposition leader Aleksei Navalny was denied the opportunity to run in December on charges of fraud that ended in a court hearing, but his supporters consider him still politically motivated.

None of the seven other candidates competing with Putin has scored more than eight percent in the election.
