Jeep will presenting a new SUV to againts of Suzuki Jimny

News24xx.com -  The automotive companies continues to developed and launched their latest products. Sometimes the latest innovations are presented to compete with other automotive products that have been launched before.


One of them is the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) type, one of the most popular car around the world. In fact, to make penetration to all society class, the manufacturers made SUVs with various sizes, including mini SUVs, such as Suzuki Jimny.


Previously, this SUV is very famous for automotive companies in the United States (US), which is Jeep. Its known for its toughness in all terrains. One of smallest of SUVs is Renagade.


Renagade is the first car that produced in 2014, had dimensions of 3,960 millimeters and height of 1520 millimeters. Renagade is the smallest Jeep that ever designed for automotive manufacturers in the US.


Even so, Jeep was less satisfied with just assembled Renagade. Jeep plan to make an innovate by making a smaller SUV again.


Jeep's CEO, Mike Manley said in an interview with Automotive News, the 'baby' Jeep will be built in Europe and marketed outside the United States.

"So the United States people will not miss with a small SUV", he said as quoted from Motor1, last Saturday, March 17 2018.


This small-sized Jeep will be produced at the FCA plant in Pomigliano, Italy. Same factory that assamble Fiat Panda.


"Fiat Panda will migrate from Pomigliano to Poland around 2019-2020. Fiat Panda factory can produce more complex car than the Panda," said FCA CEO, Sergio Marchionne at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 car show last.


Well, it is not impossible that babyJeep will used Fiat Panda platform and Fiat 500.


And if it is true, it's means the baby Jeep will still retain its DNA. In addition, it will be a rival for other SUVs, which have mini SUV design, including Suzuki Jimny.
