News24xx.com -  US President, Donald Trump, replaced his national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, with former US ambassador for United Nation, John Bolton, on Thursday, March 22 2018. He wrote it on Twitter, saying that he was pleased with the new arrangement and thanked McMaster for his services.

As it turns out, the replacement was not out of conflict, as McMaster himself was asking for retirement from the army and would leave public service altogether, as cited from NBC News.

However, regardless of his retirement request, the administration had prepared to replace its national security adviser at the end of the month.

McMaster now becomes one of the strings of officials resigning after Trump took office from the White House. Just last week, Trump had fired his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replaced him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

McMaster replaced Michael Flynn, the previous national security adviser, after Flynn got caught in scandal regarding his lies about his communication with Russian top diplomat.

Flynn then resigned and McMaster took his place. While Trump enjoyed Flynn’s company, the same could not be said with McMaster. Just like with Tillerson, there was no chemistry between Trump and McMaster, there was only tension.

Sometimes, the tension could be seen clearly in Public. For example, when McMaster said that Russian meddling was “incontrovertible” during his speech at Munich Security Conference, which was direct accusation, Trump hastily wrote on Twitter in defense of Russia, chastising McMaster for his statement.

When asked about the new national security adviser, Trump claimed that he had a connection with Bolton. “I like Bolton, I think he’s a tough cookie, knows what he’s talking about,” Trump said.
