Defense Ministry successfully tested a new anti-missile system in Kazakhstan

News24xx.com -  A new modernized missile of the Russian missile defense system was successfully tested at the Sary-Shagan training ground in Kazakhstan. A report on this was published on Monday in the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.

"The new modernized anti-missile defense system PRO successfully accomplished the task and struck a conventional target at the set time," quotes the newspaper of the deputy commander of the air defense and anti-missile defense association, Major-General Andrey Prikhodko.

The missile defense system is armed with a military communications system and is designed to protect Moscow against a limited nuclear strike by intercontinental ballistic missiles or accidental launches.
