The founder of Theater Doc, Mikhail Ugarov died

News24xx.com -  On the 63rd year of life from a heart attack died playwright, director and artistic director of Theater. Doc,  Mikhail Ugarov. He worked in a number of theaters, was the head of the program "My Family", was a screenwriter of "Windows" and a number of films.

The playwright, director and artistic director of the «Theater.Doc» Michael Ugarov died, said on the official page of the theater on Facebook.

Reports on the death of Ugarov were published by his colleagues Marina Razbezhina and Alexander Galibin on their pages in Facebook.

Razbezhina in the comments to the post added that the cause of death was a sudden heart attack. Despite the prompt arrival of the ambulance, doctors could not save Ugarov. Ugarov was 62 years old.

Ugarov was born in 1956 in Arkhangelsk. He studied at the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky, but left the fourth year. In the 1990's was a member of the creative council in the Central House of Actors. He worked on television, in particular, he was the head of the program "My Family" on RTR and the screenwriter of the talk show "Windows" on STS.

In addition to founded by him with his wife in 2002 "Theater. Doc ", where Ugarov worked in the genre of" documentary theater ", he staged performances in the Center for Drama and Directing, at the Moscow Theater by Chekhov, ET CETERA, theaters "School of Modern Play" and "Practice." 

Ugarov - one of the founders of the festivals "New Play" and "Lyubimovka", was one of the ideologists of the theater movement "New Drama",he taught at the School of Documentary Film and Theater. 

His most famous plays are Ivan Ilyich's Death and Oblom off, and the filmography includes seven paintings, where he was the director and scriptwriter. 

Ugarov is a laureate of the awards "New Word", "Golden Mask", the dramatic competition of the Moscow Art Theater by Chekhov and the Ministry of Culture. He taught at the School of Documentary and Theater and the Higher School of Journalism at the Higher School of Economics.
