Bonita in human settlementBonita in human settlement - Thursday, April 5th, 2018, the attempt to capture Sumatran tiger named 'Bonita' continues to be done. Moreover, the forest king who roamed in Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), Riau Province has killed two people.

The Deputy of the Rimba Satwa Foundation, Ade Kurniawan has opinion that regardless of the Bonita capture process. The cause of this rampage of carnivorous animals must be studied. Moreover, bonita tiger roam around the palm oil company and human settlement.

"We suspect the strong factor of Bonita the Sumatran tiger emergence is because its habitat has been lost and the food source is also rare" he said recently.

Ade explained that the number of tropical forests in Riau especially protected is reduced from 10 years ago. Once vast forests now have turned into palm oil concession areas.

"We both know that the forests in Riau are reduced so much, so it is necessary for the local government to examine the permits of the companies that are located around Bonita because we are worried that the bonita is raging due to its habitat which is annexed by the company," he said.

In addition, Ade also considered the action of hunting wild animals such as boars are the main factor. "Because it is not uncommon for us to meet mass wild boar hunting, so the tiger lost its main preys so it goes to the human settlement" he added.

For that Ade advised both the government, companies, and society to maintain the natural wealth. Also do not kill the bonita tiger. "Because Bonita species is already rare, it is on the verge of extinction, we expect Bonita to be immediately captured and quarantined" he hoped.
