Isao Takahata, one of the founders of the Japanese animation studio, died


Isao TakahataIsao Takahata -  A renowned animator Isao Takahata, one of the founders of Japanese animation studio Ghibli, died in Japan, at 83 years old.

Recently, he struggled with lung cancer, after he had heart problems. Since the summer of 2017, the animator has been hospitalized for many times.

In 1959, Takahata graduated from the University of Tokyo and began to work at the Toei Doga Animation Company, where he met with the famous Japanese animator  at that time, Hayao Miyazaki.

Takahata became famous after founded an animation studio named Ghibli  with Hayao Miyazaki.

And after founded that studio, they were released an animated film with title Grave of the Fireflies, which taken from novel by Akiyuki Nosaki. 

That animated film tells about the story of a teenager Saita and his younger sister, Setsuko, whose their parents died during World War II. 

After that animated film, Takahata became a screenwriter and producer, and he has produced many films such as :
Panda big and small, Prince of the North, Yesterday, My neighbor Yamada, Tanuki War over Heisei and Pompoko and The Legend about Princess Kaguya, which was released in 2013 and received a nomination for Oscar award in the category of Best Animated Film.
