Ri Yong-hoRi Yong-ho -  Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Ri Yong-ho, arrived in Russia for an official visit on Monday, April 9 2018.

The minister arrived in the Russian Federation on Monday morning around 10:00 Moscow time by a Turkmen Airlines flight from Ashgabat to Domodedovo airport.

Before, the minister also had visited Turkmenistan on 7-8 April, where he came from Azerbaijan after visiting the ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku.

At the exit of the hall of the official delegation's arrival, the minister was greeted by a group of journalists, especially from Japan and South Korea. But, Ri Yong-ho  does not want to answer their questions, even delaying his came for a few seconds at the circular door.

As previously reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry Federation, Ri Yong-ho  will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday. And the minister will discuss about bilateral cooperation, foreign policy cooperation issues between Russia and the North Korea, the situation in the Middle East, the implementation for Iran's nuclear program, and the prospect of establishing a new security architecture.

An important thing to talks is the exchange of views on the situation on the Korean peninsula and the search for ways to overcome them.

On March 10 2018, Russian President, Vladimir Putin said that Russia called on all parties to the conflict over the DPRK to refrain.

The Embassy of the DPRK in Moscow has not yet determined the Foreign Minister's visit program, which is expected to be in Russia from April 9 until 11.
