After getting 40 facial stitches at accident in Nashville, Carrie Underwood performs at the Academy of Country Music Awards

News24xx.com -  After had a  a scary accident in November 2017 in Nashville, Carrie Underwood got more than 40 stitches in her face.

Not only many stitches in her face, the accident also fractured her wrist.

But, now, the singer performed for the first time on Sunday, April 15 2018 night during the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs). Though she warned her fans that she might look a bit different  after healing from her injuries, Underwood still looked gorgeous.


At that time, Underwood also introducing her her new single, "Cry Pretty," an emotional ballad with a relevant message.


 "It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life." she said.


Of course, the 35-year-old country superstar is also happy to be back with her band. And Underwood added that her face has been healing pretty nicely. She said that her husband Mike Fisher and their 3-year-old son, Isaiah also became one of the reasons for her recovery.

Underwood also got her only big moment at the ACMs that she won Vocal Event of the Year (for "The Fighter" with Keith Urban) and was also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.
