Conchita Wurst, a singer with beard announced to public that she is people with HIV

News24xx.com -  The name of Conchita Wurst was not famous as a singer. But after became a winner in Eurovision 2014, suddenly, she became famous.

Beside have a beautiful voice, this Austrian man has a strange appearance. He follows the singing contest with with the appearance of a beautiful woman, but complete with beard and mustache.

But now, a bad news come from Conchita Wurst. She has revealed that he is HIV positive, and claiming that she decided to admit to that diagnosis because an ex-boyfriend threatened to go public. 

Conchita Wurst, said that she will not will not give anyone the right to frighten for her and he announced that she have been hiv-positive for many years. 

In a statement, she added: "Since I received the diagnosis, i have been in medical treatment, and for many years without interruption I have been below the detection limit, which means I am unable to transmit the virus. Until now, I did not want to go public with this information for a number of reasons, only two of which I’ll mention: first is my family, who know everything and have been supporting me since day one. Secondly, to those with whom sexual contact."

The singer with a beard rose to international fame when she win the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest for Austria with a song Rise Like A Phoenix. 

Since her victory in Copenhagen nearly four years ago, she has gone on to use her fame to campaign for tolerance and equality. 

She has performed at the European Parliament and the United Nations. She also went on to co-host the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, and was the celebrity model in Jean Paul Gaultier’s show at Paris Fashion Week.
