The winner of Indonesian Idol will be decided next week

News24xx.com - Ahmad Abdul and Maria Simorangkir, the top two of Indonesian Idol 2018, were dueling in Indonesian Idol Grand Final on Monday night, April 16th 2018. The two finalists are bearing a huge burden of expectations from both their fans and the judges. It can strengthen them but it can also make them lose their focus.

Their duel was divided into 4 sessions. The first is when they sang their own chosen song. The second is when they sang along with the piano playing by Yovie Widianto. In the third session, they collaborated with Jevin Julian. In the fourth and last session, they sang the winning song of their own versions.

Abdul and Maria will duel against each other once again in the result show, where the winner will be decided, next week on Monday, April 23rd 2018. There is still time to vote for either of them, through texts or social media.

Although the choices are reduced to only two, it does not make it easier for the fans or the judges. Both Abdul and Maria have potential to be the winner of Indonesian Idol 2018.

Three of the judges praised Abdul’s performance on Monday. One of them, Bunga Citra Lestari, even admitted that she was moved when Abdul was able to touch emotional side through his singing. “I think it was one of your best performances and I’m cried little bit” she said.

Not just Abdul, Maria also gave her best for the judges. She performed the song of Dewa 19, “Risalah Hati”, with Jevin Julian. She surprised the judges by singing a song that was different than what she usually sang. “Epic, great. I’m happy to be part of the history of creation of that song, cool Maria,” said one of the judges, Maia Estianty.

Each of the two finalists has his/her own strength and weaknesses. Who do you think will win next week?
