Israelis enjoy fireworks on the eve of Israel's independence day in Tel Aviv

The 70th anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel is celebrated with fireworks on Thursday night, April 19th 2018. Usually residents will gather together outside the house with a party berbeque in parks and other public places.

Previously was disrupted by the issue of a bomb that was hidden in a truck owned by Palestinians. It aimed to stop the celebration of Israeli independence day.

Due to the issue, the Israeli Defense Ministry deployed guards at the Reihan checkpoint in the northern West Bank and found "powerful explosives" hidden on the roof of Palestinian trucks. The bomb was hidden among other items.

Defense Minister Avigor Lieberman praised the vigilance and professionalism of the checkpoint guards who successfully uncovered truck bombing and thwarted major attacks.

Quoted by Reuters, the Defense Minister said, "We will hunt down the criminals who are planning to attack on our Independence day, they will not have a day or night rest until we put their hands on them"

Palestinians view Israeli independence as "Nakba" or "Disaster". The reason is that the Jewish state established when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced amid mounting violence in the Israeli-Arab war in May 1948
