News24xx.com -Heavy rain that flushed most of the Kampar region caused a landslide in the area Berengarin Rantau on Thursday, April 19th 2018. As a result of landslides that road covered with landslide material so the path of Riau-West Sumatra is applying a system of open - close.

Based on the information received, the landslide occurred only about two kilometers from the rantau bridge in the direction of West Sumatra. Precisely at kilometers 77th – 78th Merangin Village Kuok Subdistrict, Kampar District - Riau.

Since the dawn, were seen a number of traffic polices Kampar District being busy arranged bus and has not seen any heavy equipment to clears the location of landslides.

Although the system open – close applied, but so far has not disrupted the flow of traffic but some drivers expressed concern about the continuation of landslide could happen considering the current rain has not stop.

Chief of traffic police of Kampar, Wan Mantazaka, said on Thursday, April 19th  morning, "So far the heavy equipment has been deployed to move the rocks that block the road. For vehicles can be passed either the four-wheel or heavy vehicles. Open and close system still applied"

He said that people who pass through this area to be more careful and alert because it is likely there will be another landslide due to high rainfall in the afternoon until early morning.
