Addicted to Facebook and WhatsApp, husbands strangled his wife to death

News24xx.com - As reported by the Times of India, Tuesday, April 17th 2018, Hariom strangled Luxmi to death at their home on Thursday, April 12th. A day later, Friday, April 13th, Hariom was arrested and detained by the police. He admitted to police killing Luxmi for her being negligent in caring for their children for playing for Facebook and WA too much.

"Just before the incident, I was feeding, feeding the child, while she was almost an hour just chatting with people through Facebook and WA" said Hariom.

Hariom strangled Luxmi to death when his wife fell asleep in their apartment, Sare Homes Sector 92, on Thursday night.

Early Friday morning, when Luxmi's father, Balwant Singh, visited them, his daughter had been killed in bed while Hariom beside her.

Balwant then called the police to arrest his son-in-law.

"We got married in 2006 and we have 2 children, all is well, until I bought her a smart phone, two years back, her lifestyle changed after I gave her a smart phone" he said.

Luxmi, Hariom's claim, no longer wants to cook or clean the house. Luxmi also did not want to deliver their children to school or help complete their homework.

"She spent her day and night playing on Facebook and WA, our children seem invisible to her" she says.

Initially, Hariom admitted to be patient and chose to send two children who were each aged 8 and 10 years to boarding school.

But, after her two children no longer at home, Luxmi's behavior has not changed.

"He also never let me see her Facebook account or chat in WA, finally we got fight and end with her death" he said

Currently, Hariom has been detained and will be brought to trial.
