Spread his sperm into the womb of a dozen patients in secret, this fertility doctor finally caught

News24xx.com - Fertility clinics are often used to help couples who are difficult to have offspring. This clinic also enabled some people who want to donate reproductive tissue to help other parties to have children.

It has been known a doctor named Norman Barwin, reported from Liputan6, was accused of using his sperm in insemination treatment at his clinic. It was known from the results of DNA tests showed 11 children born is the biological child of the doctor.

This information is stated by law firm Nelligan O'Brien Payne, who filed a related lawsuit, which wrote, "From the DNA test results, we finally found out as many as 11 children, whose parents went to Dr Barwin for fertility consultancy, are the biological children of the suspect."

One of the lawyers named Peter Cronyn represented the plaintiffs accusing Barwin for violating extraordinary faith. He said his team would find evidence of Barwin as the biological father of the reporters, but it did not expect if his findings swelled up to 11 children.

"When people have discovered that their children are not as intended (not entirely biological children), it is a very sad discovery" Cronyn said.

Apparently this is not the first thing for Barwin. In the early 2000s, at least 16 children reported similar things because they did not have a DNA match with their biological father. But it is not yet certain whether the DNA of the 16 children matches to the doctor or other person.

Barwin was sanctioned by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for two months in 2013 after confessing to secretly fertilizing 4 women with the wrong sperm over the last 2 decades.
