News24xx.com - A total of 13 teachers at Elementary School Aroanop and Jagamin were successfully evacuated by TNI members to Timika who were previously victims of violence and sexual harassment by the Armed Seperatist crimal Group (KKSB) Papua.

 

The teachers consisted of 18 people consisting of 11 men and 7 women but who could be evacuated from Aroanop to Timika as many as 13 people consisting of 7 women and 6 men and 5 teachers were still in Aroanop village for waiting for the next evacuation.

 

Colonel Inf Frits explained that the current situation and conditions in Aroanop's village are safe and under control that are guarded by members of the TNI.

 

"Currently, the condition of the village is safely under control where the TNI has forcing back KKSB and secured Aroanop village" he explained.

 

After arriving in Timika, one of the contract teachers at Aroanop elementary school, Rano Samsul who was also a victim of violence explained that the incident occurred on Friday at 15.00 local time.

 

"So they went into the village quickly and held us for 45 minutes and we also did not know what the purposed of KKSB to the village. We all the teachers were mugged using firearms in the head" he explained.

 

"The female hostages were tortured by being beaten up, kicked and the KKSB group also sexually harassed them and causing facial bruises and the effects of psychological trauma" he explained.

 

After 45 minutes of taking hostage, KKSB went with 10 cellphones, 4 Laptops, some food and clothing of the hostages.

 

"They all seized our belongings, they numbered about 20 people with guns and sharp weapons and we can not do anything" he said again.

 

Teachers who teach in Jagamin Eustakhius Lefteu Elementary School also explained the situation of teachers teaching in Jagamin village, that the state of teachers are in good health.

 

"Teachers who teach in jagamin elementary school feel scared by the existence of KKSB, thankfully there is no violence committed by the group to the teachers in Jagamin" he explained.

 

These teachers are deeply traumatized and they are in grieved that in a few weeks the elementary school children in Aroanop and Jagamin will have the exams, but these teachers have to leave school for treatment due to an attack by KKSB.

 

The determination of these teachers is still great for teaching children in Aroanop and Jagamin Elementary schools because teachers want their students to have knowledge to advance Papua.

 

Please note that these teachers are contract teachers and PKL teachers from one of the universities in Papua.
