Tiger frightens civilians in Renah Pemetik village

News24xx.com - These past few days, the people of Renah Pemetik Village, Air Hangat Timur District, Kerinci Regency, are frightened by a tiger that enters the villagers’ farms.

The tiger was sighted in a farm of a villager. Their cattle have been devoured as well.

“It has been 4 days that the tiger lurks around the farms of Sungai Tembang civilians, Lubuk Tabun Renah Pemetik Village. To this day, there are three of the villagers’ cattle that were eaten right at their stall” said a villager on Thursday, April 19th 2018.

He said that to this day, farmers are still afraid of working at their farms. They hoped that other parties will help them in solving this problem.

“Now many villagers are afraid to do their usual activities in their farms, and the people hope that there are other party that will help capturing the animal” he said.

The villagers who own the farms in Renah Pemetik also asked the people from TNKS (Kerinci Seblat National Park) to evacuate the locations in which the tiger is lurking. “We feel very anxious and scared due to this incident” said another villager.

The information regarding this so far is that the team from TNKS, which also consists of Forest Police, has arrived in Renah Pemetik. The team checks the area and sets up traps in case the tiger has to be captured and brought deep into the forest and away from the civilians’ farms.

Agusman, one of the officers of TNKS said that the team had come down to Renah Pemetik after receiving reports from the villagers.
