Batik airplanes slipped at Nepal airport

News24xx.com - Malaysian Batik air plane failed to take off and skidded on the runway of Karthmandu Airport, Nepal.

As cited from Airlive, this incident happened at 10:00 p.m. local time. Boeing 737-900 Batik Air, whose screen was still that of Malindo Air, was about to depart to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the report from Karthmandu Airport, the flight numbered OD-181 was ready to take off with the speed around 165 knots. However, the plane slipped out of the runway and skidded on the ground.

The plane stopped around 75 meters outside the runway, sinking into the ground.

Thankfully, there was no victim in that incident. The damage to the plane was also quite small. However, it was still unknown what caused this incident to happen.
