Besides Connie, she also have another daughter, Dior, the five years old. And when the incident occured, she get Dior ready for school.

"It was normal morning, I went through to the girls room to waken them up and get Dior ready for school. Dior and Connie slept in same rome. But, when I opened the door all I could see, the legs of my little girl was sticking out from under the teddy. She wasn't breathing. I immediately started CPR on her."

She added: "I was blame of myself. I packed the side of the bed with the smaller teddies and place the big one on top thinking that would stop her falling down the side and hurting herself.  Maybe a broken arm, she would still be with us. But it's too late."

Mrs. Walsh has now launched an online campaign, the Connie Rose Awareness Facebook page, in a bid to raise awareness of leaving cuddly toys in young children's beds overnight. She hopes other mothers will think before letting their children go to sleep surrounded by their favourite toys.
