News24xx.com - Some people think that an only child has tendency to be selfish, spoils and seeks for an attention than those who with siblings. Study found that they are also more prone of cheating on their lovers.

The study was done by Illicit Encounters, a dating site for married people who are intentionally cheating on their partners. The study found that 34 percent of the site users are the only child in their family, 28 percent are the eldest child, 23 percent are youngest child and 15 percent are middle child, with 24 percent having step siblings.

Illicit Encounters explained that people who are the only child in their family tend to cheat on their partners because they crave for attention. The site’s spokesman, Christian Grant said, “It is widely known that an only child often feel such a great loneliness during their childhood, and that feeling haunts them again when they are having long-term relationship. Having no attention for a long time, it causes them to need more and more attentions. Such as, when their partners are away for a long time, they feel the need for attention so cheating is a solution to get attentions.”

Grant added that middle child tends to be surrounded by parents and siblings that give them attention, so they do not feel the need for it when their partners are away. People with step siblings also tend to cheat, because having seen their parent unable to be unhappy with someone, they will have tendency to cheat.
