North Korea stops its missile tests

News24xx.com - North Korea’s decision to stop nuclear tests since April 21st, is welcomed by the international leaders. This decision made by North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un was deemed to be good news. Before this, the nuclear and missile tests done by the North have been such a huge threat for the world.

Through his Twitter account, US President Donald Trump said that it was such a big progress. He said he could not wait for the meeting with their leader, Kim Jong-un in their summit meeting.

South Korea, who had been playing as a facilitator and mediator between US and the North, said that Kim Jong-un’s decision will contribute in shaping a positive relationship during the high-level talk between North Korea and South Korea, as well as the summit between the North and US.

European Union thought that the decision was a positive thing for the world, although they still urged for complete denuclearization. The government of Great Britain, which is led by Prime Minister Theresa May, also welcomed Kim Jong-un’s decision. In a statement, British government said that they hoped this decision is another step further toward negotiation.

China, North Korea’s closest ally also welcomed the decision, hoping that it will ease the tension in Korean Peninsula that exists in these past few years. Russian foreign ministry is also happy with the progress, but they asked US and South Korea to decrease military activities in that area as well.

Kim Jong-un had decided to stop the nuclear test since April 21st 2018. He even ordered to shut down the testing area. He said missile tests were no longer needed because their weapon has been finished.
