New stage in processing the resignation letter of Ahok as Governor of DKI Jakarta

News24xx.com - Minister of Home Affairs (Minister of Home Affairs) Tjahjo Kumolo said, there is a stage in processing the resignation letter of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok from his position as Governor of DKI Jakarta. One of them awaits the decision of the prosecutor's office regarding the filing of an appeal

According to Tjahjo, if the appeal decision whether or not the prosecution related to Ahok prison has been out, there is still another process.

If not, DKI Legislature expected to take immediate steps.

"Secondly, if the AGO does not appeal, we ask the Legislature to process the letter of withdrawal of Ahok," he explained.

"The base of the letter includes the basis of the prosecutor's office not filing an appeal lawsuit, as a basis we convey to the President to immediately issue his Presidential Decree to dismiss Sir Ahok as Governor," continued Tjahjo.
