One way of the football fans of the Premier League to reduce plastic waste

News24xx.com -  Now, garbage problem becomes one of the world's attention. Before, the UK government's makes an efforts to ban the sale of disposable plastics for next year. And lots of businesses have committed to helping fight the war on single-use plastic from next season.

 

This is done to decrease the amount of plastic waste in the sea. And the same thing is also done by the Premier League.

 

The league is teaming up with Sky to help football fans reduce the amount of plastic waste they produce at matches.

 

It’s thought for each game can generate up to 750,000 plastic bottles and seven tonnes of waste. And football clubs start looking at various schemes to reduce waste, such as deposit return schemes of cups at matches. 

 

And the brand new stadium of Tottenham Hotspur due to open next season, is going to be free from plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery and carrier bags.


Richard Scudamore, executive chairman of the Premier League said that their act is one of way to save the oceans in program of Sky Ocean Rescue.


"We are extremely proud to be joining to save the oceans. As an organisation with a global audience we are able to encourage people around the world to think and take positive action to reduce their use of plastic."
