News24xx.com -  In Russia, the first zone for test of the 5G network has just opened. It was created by Rostelecom company and collaborated with Skolkovo Foundation and Nokia.

Such zones are available at the Skolkovo Innovation Center. The creation of a 5G network is planned for business purposes. The Rostelecom company believes that this network will open up for new prospects in the development of the country's economy.

The main characteristics of communication in the test area are still kept secret. However, scientists have been invited for testing, as well as companies which offering products for the fifth generation network.

The testing task is to learn the technical features of the network, looking for business solutions that will become the basis for the development of 5G networks across the country.

According to Igor Drozdov, Chairman of the Skolkovo Board, the 5G network should attract the attention of representatives of the Internet industry, video analysts and many other specialists.

Now pilot projects are being prepared on cartography, protection of construction sites, agricultural development.

It is planned that after the official launch of the 5G network, which is scheduled for 2018, the internet speed should be 10 Gbit / s.
