Milorad Mazic, the referee who will lead the final of 2018 Champions League


Milorad MazicMilorad Mazic - UEFA has appointed referees for the 2017/2018 Champions League final. He is Milorad Mazic who will lead the game of Real Madrid vs. Liverpool.

Mazic was appointed by the UEFA referee committee on Monday, May 7th 2018. He will lead the final held at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium, Kiev, Ukraine, May 26th.

The 45-year-old has a lot of experience being judge on the field in the Europe. UEFA said Mazic has been an international referee since 2009.

This season on the Champions league, Mazic had led four Champions League matches in the group phase. Among them were matches of Juventus vs Barcelona and AS Roma vs Atletico Madrid.

The Serbian also has experience to be the judge in the final. In 2016, he led the European Super Cup final between Madrid vs Sevilla, and last year, he was the referee in the final of the Confederations Cup between Chile vs Germany.

In Kiev, Mazic will be assisted by his Serbian assistants Milovan Ristic and Dalibor Djurdjevic, and his fourth official, Clement Turpin (France), and two additional assistants from Serbia Nenad Djokic and Danilo Grujic.

Besides Mazic for the Champions League final, UEFA also appointed Bjorn Kuipers to lead the Europe League final and Jana Adamkova in the women's Champions League.
