52 Palestinian died and 2.400 injured in Clash with Israeli Troops, Youssef Mahmoud said It is a Massacre

The clash came as the United States moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on Monday, May 14th 2018. The Palestinian Authority called the clashes as a massacre. The Palestinians condemned it."The horrific massacre was carried out by Israeli soldiers against the Palestinians" Palestinian spokesman Youssef Mahmoud told Reuters.

Clashes broke out at five points along the Gaza and Israeli border. The protests on Monday, May 14th 2018 were held ahead of the 'Nakba' that fell on May 15th, 1948, as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes. It is estimated that the protests will peak today.

In a separate statement, the Israeli military said three demonstrators were among those killed as armed militants, who were trying to install explosives near the border fence in southern Gaza. The Israeli military insisted that its personnel would defend the border and open fire to stop the attacks, if there was damage to the border fence and infiltration attempts.

"The IDF (Israel Defense Force) will act decisively against any terrorist activity and will act to prevent attacks against Israel," the Israeli military statement said.
