Among them are the ethics for the royal family. The following are among the royal ethics that Meghan had to learn before her marriage.
 

1.      The Windsor Wave
 

As cited from ABCNews.com, Meghan had to learn The Windsor Wave or the royal hand wave. She waved to the crowd to enthusiastically the first. She had to learn to do it more slowly and elegantly to make her look more graceful.
 

2.      Royal Greeting
 

Other than hand wave, another thing she had to learn is the Royal Greeting. A greeting in Britain is different than in America. According to Myka Meier, as cited from The Observer, Meghan had to learn this kind of greeting before being the official member of royal family.

 

3.      The Duchess Slant
 

If you are a member of royal family, even the way you sit is highlighted. Meghan had to learn the right way of sitting which is called The Duchess Slant, in which a woman slanted her legs.
 

4.      The Cambridge Cross
 

Another way of sitting Meghan had to learn is The Cambridge Cross. She has to keep her heels and knees down with so little movements. This is to reduce the attention to the legs.
 

5.      Utilizing Utensils
 

According to Meier, the hardest thing Meghan had to learn is utilizing utensils, which is part of table manner. She had to learn from how to hold eating utensils, how the table is organized, to when knife, fork and spoon are used. Holding eating utensils in the right way is very important in British culture and shows the respect one has toward it.
 

6.      The Curtsy
 

Meghan also had to learn how to curtsy to members of the royal family whose position is higher than her.
 

7.      Time for Tea
 

The time to drink tea in Britain has many rules. For example, how to stir and how to add milk. Meghan had gone through her first tea time when she met Queen Elizabeth for the first time. Many people hoped that Meghan had learned the way of drinking tea before meeting the queen.
