The researchers found that a high level of AXL protein in HER2-positive cancer cells increases the probability of their detachment from the primary tumor and metastasis. The decrease in the activity of the compound increases the survival of patients. According to scientists, drugs aimed at AXL, will help prevent the spread of cancer cells in the body and reduce the risk of new foci of the disease.
