Head of GP Ansor asks for Islamophobia should not happen in Riau

This is also the concern of Chairman of GP Ansor Riau, Purwaji. He asks people not to be hesitant to discredit other groups. "Islamphobia should not happen in Riau, although there is a small impact from the incident of terror, but I think the impact is not getting there" he said.

For those who wear the veil, Purwaji hopes that they will not be closed with the community. "If you are ready to wear a veil, you must be prepared with consequences, if you can be kind, supportive, tolerant and life exclusively in a heterogeneous society, I do not think it wont matter" he said.

Purwaji also hoped that groups that are considered radical can lower the ego. "All parties must be open with the development of the ideology and movement around them, pesantren, campus, study groups are open, if there is a closed activity, do not mix with the people, the movement will be suspicious" he said.

Nevertheless Purwaji asked the public not to worry too much. Moreover, the security apparatus has also anticipated that the acts of terror will not be repeated.

"Ansor Banser focuses on maintaining NU mosques in each neighborhood, and we must be united against terror" he said.
