Heroic woman blocks terrorist and saved 20 peoples in London attack

News24xx.com - A taxi driver's of woman, saved 20 people in the London attack by barricading a restaurant door and barring a terrorist from entering, has won thousands of hearts.

In doing so, the woman saved the people from being killed as she shielded the door with her body and aided in their escape from the back door.

The cabbie, Aksha Patel, explained how the woman acted as a barrier for "a few seconds" and helped Londoners to escape from the rear of the Black and Blue restaurant.

Patel was quoted as telling Sky News, "She knew they were bad people trying to break in. She managed to hold the door for a few seconds but they overpowered her. People managed to escape through the rear door so she saved maybe 20 people’s lives."

Seven people lost their lives and at least 48 were injured after the attack that saw three terrorists mauling pedestrians with a van and stabbing party-goers with knives. After the police arrived, within eight minutes, all three terrorists had been shot dead.
