Amazing, the most powerful passport 2018 is an Asian country, this is the ranks

News24xx.com -  Amazing, from data in 2018, citizenship planning firm Henley and Partners, makes ranks passports based on the number of countries a holder can go to without a visa or the number of countries a holder can go to where they can obtain a visa, visitor's permit, or electronic travel authority upon arrival.


The results are based on data from the International Air Transport Authority, after looking at 199 different passports across 227 destinations and regularly updating.


Japan has been deemed the world's most powerful passport, with access to 189 countries. Singapore and Germany, have secured the second place with both having access to 188 countries.


Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain and South Korea have bagged the third place with access to 187 countries.


Norway, UK., Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and US followed in the fourth place with each having access to 186 countries.


Here are the top 10 most powerful passports:


1. Japan - 189 countries

2. Germany, Singapore - 188 countries

3. Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, South Korea - 187 countries

4. Norway, U.K., Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, U.S. - 186 countries

5. Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, Canada - 185 countries

6. Australia, Greece - 183 countries
 
7. New Zealand, Czech Republic, Malta - 182 countries

8. Iceland - 181 countries
 
9. Hungary, Slovenia, Malaysia - 180 countries

10. Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia - 179 countries
