Research says, countries with higher levels of income have more new diagnoses of cancer

News24xx.com -  A study of 195 countries has revealed which countries have the most deaths from cancer and the most new cases of the disease.

And they said that Australia, New Zealand and the USA have more new diagnoses of cancer than any other countries. Countries with higher levels of income and education generally had more new cases of cancer. The rise has been linked to various outdoor hobbies as well as excessive smoking or drinking and a poor diet.


Research was compiled by scientists at the University of Washington and published in JAMA Oncology. 

According to worldwide research revealed there were more new cases of cancer in wealthier nations.

And the scientists warning that cancers caused by lifestyles are on the rise. 


And more tragic, in 2016, more people died from cancer in Mongolia than any other country, ie 272 people per 100,000 citizens died from the disease.

10. Croatia (180.2) 


And this is the data of countries with the most new cases of cancer in 2016 :
1. Australia

7. Syria 

Dr Christina Fitzmaurce, who led the study, said, "Ensuring universal access to health care is a vital prerequisite for early detection and cancer treatment. And improving access to advanced diagnostic technologies not commonly available in low-SDI countries is a critical step toward achieving health equity globally."


In 2016, there were 17.2 million cancer cases worldwide, an increase of 28 per cent over the past decade – which resulted in 8.9 million deaths. Breast cancer was the leading cause of cancer death in women, and lung cancer was the leading cause of cancer death in men.
