As you know, the first year of marriage is apparently believed to be the most difficult one. It also the most eventful year in a married couples’ life with adjustments to be made and new things to be discovered.

So, what wil happen to every married couple in the first year of their marriage ?

 

1. ?Introductions and remembering the relatives
Introduced to new relatives and remembering their names can be quite difficult task. Besides the customary introduction sessions, the newly-weds would be flooded with dinner or lunch invitations by friends and family. And they end up spending as much time with the extended family.

 
2. ?Discover new habits of your couple
The first year will be full of surprises. You will discover a few habits of your partner, which might have gone unnoticed earlier. Some discoveries might not be very pleasant one, while a few would make you fall more in love with your better half. 
 

3. Talking about baby 
Most couples utilise the first year of their marriage to understand each other and their decision to raise a family. Talking about babies does not mean the couple is planning to have a baby soon. The first year is the perfect period to set some baby goals, when to have a baby, how many, etc. 

4. First disagreement
You will most probably have your first disagreement with your spouse and in-laws in the first year of your marriage. 

For a woman, it could be something as simple as choosing the curtains of the living room (in case, you are living in a joint family) or getting a gift for your in-laws after your first vacation as a couple. 

On the other hand, a man might be annoyed by his wife’s over-dependence on her parent’s opinion and there will be moments during which an offhand comment about this would escalate into a heated arguement.

5. Overcoming financial struggles together
The first year of marriage teaches every couple the importance of money. This is the first time that the newly weds learn to bear expenses as a family. Every household eexpenditure would be shared (if both are working) and they would realise how their monthly budget has to change after marriage.
