2018 World Cup will be started after President Vladimir Putin officially open the ceremony

On this occasion, Russia being the host that the much-awaited event by all fans of football from all over the world.

And all the people in the world are set to see their favourite superstars in action. 

And Brazilian great Ronaldo and British pop star Robbie Williams will be present at the opening ceremony. 

Robbie Williams, who is best known for his hit single "Angels", will sing alongside famous of Russian soprano, Aida Garifullina just shortly before Russia face Saudi Arabia in the first match of the FIFA World Cup at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium. 

Williams said that performing at the FIFA World Cup was "his boyhood dream" and it would be "an unforgettable show". 

But, the role of Ronaldo is yet to be ascertained. 

Unlike previous editions, this year's opening ceremony will take place just half hour before the match, with more stronger focus on musical acts. 

As information, 80,000 fans are expected to be in attendance while millions more will watch the live broadcast around the world. Meanwhile, another Brazilian legend Pele may not be part of the opening ceremony and the inaugural match of the FIFA World Cup, because he has cancelled his scheduled trip to Russia because of ill health.

The World Cup kicks off in Russia Thursday as the host nation take on Saudi Arabia in front of 80,000 people in Moscow after President Vladimir Putin officially declares the tournament open.
