Seven secrets that you did not know about Russia

News24xx.com -  As the host of 2018 World Cup, Russia have many beautiful places that can visit by fans of football that come to that country.

But did you know, that Russia have seven interesting facts that unknown by many people ?

1. Very hot
Russia also experiences a great variability in temperature. And the city or village that nearer to the southern latitudes, it can get uncomfortably because it's very hot.

2. Step on kids 
This is not an instance of child abuse. A priest in Russia always baptizing a child at the Novopyatigorsk Lake near the Russian southern town of Pyatigorsk. 

And many Russian superstitions have endured.  One of them states that stepping on children will ensure that their growth would be stunted. 

3. Feasting on reindeer 
The Nenets, tribespeople (people belonging to a tribe in a traditional society or group)  of Russia's frozen Yamal peninsula have survived the age of the Tsars, the Bolshevik revolution and the chaotic 1990s, and they do love feasting on reindeer.

But only when they’re not using them as a transport. 

 

4. Dead Sea 
The mineral mud of the Dead Sea is said to have many healing qualities, so Russians decided to discover their own for health.  Russians travel from afar to live in a camp, bathe in the bitter-salty water and smear themselves with the curative black and blue mud.

The mineral-rich blue mud on the banks of the Tus Lake in Russia's Khakassia region, about 370 km (230 miles) southwest of the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk is said to be just as restorative. 

 

5.  Soviet souvenirs
Everyone wants memorabilia from their travels. And fridge magnets are a popular choice. But for communist era propaganda posters you'd have to be at the Izmailovsky Market in Moscow. 

6. Two New Years 
The Russians keep two calendars, the conventional Western one that tolls the New Year day on the first of January and another conforming to the Eastern Orthodox Church that begins the year afresh on January 14.

7. The Moscow metro
