At least 17 people have died after a nightclub brawl led to a stampede in Venezuela

News24xx.com -  A horrifying incident was occured in Venezuela. At that time, a nightclub brawl led to a stampede and 17 people have died.  The fight broke out during a graduation celebration at Los Cotorros club in Venezuela have triggering the stampede. 


Eight minors are among those killed and another five are injured. Some people died from asphyxiation, others from injuries sustained when they tried to escape the room when an explosive was detonated.


The Interior Minister of Venezuela, Nestor Reverol said the majority of the dead are between 16 and 20 years old.


According to journalist Darvinson Rojas as quoted from Metrouk, June 16 2018, Reverol said that a tear gas device exploded on Saturday night.


"At that time, 500 people goers rushed for the exit when the tear-gas canister was detonated during a fight in the Saturday morning," Mr Reverol told.

Seven people have been arrested, including the owner of the club and the person who is believed to have launched the explosive device. 


When explosive, the main doors were closed and many fell down on top of each other as they tried to escape. Family members have reportedly, so far the victims been identified are :


1. Luis Eduardo Barrios, 46 years old

2.Jorhgen Alexander Castro, 19 years old

3. Luis Roniel Guerra Alfonso, 19 years old

4.  Marcos Javier Altuve Valenzuela, 18 years old
