News24xx.com -  Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General, M Iriawan forbade the masses to staging the action on Friday, June 9, 2017.

Iriawan urged the masses to use Ramadan to raising worship and not make an demonstration action.

"I'm will forbidden the masses to do that action, what for? It's more better to prayer, with prayers, it will make the situation will orderly," said Inspector General Iriawan told reporters at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday, on June 8 2017.

The action with titled 'Bela Ulama 96' is circulating viral in social media.
The masses plans to hold a grand tablig as well as consolidate to defend of the ulama at Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, after Friday prayers the 9th of June tomorrow.


Kapolda said, that his side has not received any notice from the masses related to the action plan.

"(Notification) until now there is not yet," said Iriawan.

Iriawan asked to all the parties not to take action to pressure the government related to the legal process against of Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) high priest, Habib Rizieq Syihab.

He also confirmed that the legal process against of Rizieq should not be interpreted as an act of criminalization against the clergy.

"Whatever the reason, the government is not afraid of pressure, oppressed, or threatened, its no problem, because the law is must enforced. There is no criminalization, I am will sinful if there is no justification (criminalization of the ulama)," he said.

Iriawan continued all parties have emphasized that the legal process against Rizieq is not criminalization of ulama.

"The journalist has heard, the vice president already talked, Mr. Din Syamsuddin already talk, the chairman of Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) has talked, there is no criminalization of ulama," he added.
