News24xx.com - A poisonous snake, even with a severed head, can pose a threat to life, a Texas resident convinced himself.

The incident was reported to the wife of the victim - Jennifer Sutcliffe.

According to the wife of the victim (his name is not called), on May 27 her husband came across a rattlesnake more than a meter long.

He immediately took a shovel and cut off the head of the reptile, reports the local TV channel KIII TV.

When a man bent down to throw out the remains of a snake, its severed head bit him. And the head left all the remaining poison in it, and not a small portion, as it would be with the usual bite.

According to Jennifer Sutcliffe, her husband immediately felt unwell, lost sight, he began internal bleeding.

Usually, a bitten one or two doses of antidote is required, but the man needed 26 doses of the medicine.

In the first day after the bite, doctors doubted that he could survive, but now the victim is in stable condition.

According to experts, a deadly snake has a biting reflex that can last almost an hour, even if its head is separated from the body.
