At least, 11 killed and 2.300 people should be evacuated after heavy flood hit some part of Myanmar

News24xx.com -  A big floods hit some parts of Myanmar. At least, 11 people were killed in the flood. 

As reported from Anadolu Agency on Tuesday, June 19 2018, Myanmar was flushed down by heavy rain in recent weeks. Not only floods, some incident of landslides were reported in some areas.


As quoted from Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), at least 10 areas in Myanmar was affected by the flood. 

As many as, 8 thousand of houses and 4,856 hectares of Myanmar were damaged. 


"So far, the floods and landslides have killed 11 people, and about 23,000 people have been displaced or evacuated," MRCS secretary-general Khin Maung Hla told to Anadolu Agency.


The worst affected area is on the south side of Mon. In that place, more than 15,000 people have been sent to temporary shelters.


As we know, floods often to hit of Myanmar after the rainy season comes. The UN has said Myanmar is the most vulnerable in Southeast Asia.


As quoted from the UN Global Climate Risk Report of 2017 said that Myanmar is one of 20 countries in the 'climate conflict series'.
