News24xx.com -  The euphoria of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, makes many traders trying to getting profit from that event.

As did by the traders in China.


Recently, the customs officials in Guangdong, China seized more than 130,000 of fake the World Cup merchandises. These items are deemed to violate about intellectual property rights.


Before, Guangzhou Customs detected about 4,370 counterfeit goods that sell in the market of China, including the FIFA World Cup basketball balls, and also T-shirts with Adidas or Nike brand logos,  in a delivery to Tanzania in April 2018. 


"This invention has caused the officers to search for another fake products, including T-shirts and accessories with the FIFA logo," Guangzhou Customs told as quoted by Straitstimes, Wednesday, June 20 2018.


And Huangpu Customs officers in Guangzhou detected, at least 4,500 of jersey shirts will be exported to Malaysia by a company in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.


That jersey has been wrapped in a plastic bag and hidden behind a container. At least 30,000 T-shirts with the FIFA World Cup Russia logo and Adidas label will be sent.

"All of the shirts are in poor quality, with shabby packaging and very badly printed labels," the Customs Official said.


There are many sports products that release before the big events such as the Olympics, World Cup, and UEFA European Championships.


And to protect the intellectual property rights of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the General Administration of Customs of China has been launched a campaign against counterfeit goods on March until June. 

And in Guangdong, the customs officers also worked with their counterparts in Hong Kong and Macao.
