News24xx.com -  A few days ago, Donald Trump has signed an executive order to keep illegal immigrant families together after an outcry over children being put in detention centers alone.

The order was signed and released on Wednesday, June 20 2018 afternoon, and the president, who was flanked by Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Vice President Mike Pence revealing that his arm had been twisted by his wife, Melania Trump and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.

The copy of the executive order Donald Trump signed on Wednesday,  to end the separation of illegal immigrants from their children. Trump continued to talk tough as he signed the paperwork.

The order marks a rare face for President Trump, who often responds to criticism of his policies by pushing them harder.

Trump said, "Ivanka feels very strongly, my wife feels very strongly about it, and I feel very strongly about it. I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated. I think anybody with a heart would feel very strongly about it."

"We are keeping a very powerful border. We have zero tolerance for people that enter our country illegally," he added.

Before, Trump and his team have been condemned by lawmakers, activists and religious leaders – including the pope – amid footage of distressed children being held in cages away from their parents.

Trump and his top aides, including Nielsen, had previously insisted that the current law requires the US to separate children from parents who were being charged with crossing the US border illegally.
