Lost competitiveness with McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks will close their store in the US

News24xx.com -  Competition in business is commonplace thing. It also applies to famous coffee shops in the world, Starbucks in the United States (US).

Because the competition with other coffee outlets and fast food restaurants which sell coffee with cheap prices, Starbucks have a plans to close their store as many as 150 in the US.

Referring to Reuters, Starbucks lost competitiveness with McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts in the sale of its coffee. 

The closing projection of their outlets,  put the shares of Starbucks down up to 2% on Thursday, June 21 2018.

The Chief Executive of Starbucks, Kevin Johnson said their sales in the worldwide would still rise even only for 1%. 

 
"We are confident that we close only for a while, because we also have a big cost to invest, although our performance has not been in line with the target," Johnson said on Thursday, June 21 2018.

And Starbucks also has a new plan for business expansion. For example, the store license sale option.

And in next year, the company strives to innovate by introducing new cold drinks such as juice with dragon fruit and mango taste. 

In the past, the Starbucks store named Pequod, the name of a ship in the classic novel by Herman Melville, Moby Dick.
