News24xx.com - Moscow Zoo named their newborn hawk with the name of Russian national team goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev. In the round of penalties Akinfeev made two rescues by kicking off Koke and Iago Aspas shots. The victory made Russia one of the surprise team which passed through the quarter-finals.

Over the victory was a late night party going on in Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also tried to compare the celebration of victory with when World War II ended.

The celebration turned out to not only belong to lovers of football in Russia, the Moscow Zoo also celebrated it. One of them by naming their collection by the name of Igor Akinfeev, the hero of Russia's victory over Spain.

"We are proud of the achievements of our football team, their victory over Spain is moving the whole country and unifying the hearts of millions of people" said Moscow General Director Svetlana Akulova. "The Moscow Zoo cannot be on the sidelines of such an incredible event, so we decided to name our hawk that hatched more than a month ago in honor of Igor Akinfeev.”
